Privacy policy

This policy covers the CoatTally Android app offered under the ApexNode developer brand. Privacy questions can be sent to apexnode.dev@gmail.com.

Information inside the app

Project names, dimensions, paint references, notes, prices and checklists are saved in private app storage on your device. CoatTally does not send that information to us or to a server. It has no network permission, account system, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK.

Exports and sharing

PDF, CSV and JSON backup files are created when you request them. You choose a destination through Android's document picker or a sharing app. The selected storage or sharing provider receives the exported copy and handles it under its own policies. Temporary PDF sharing grants read access to that selected export only.

Backup, retention and deletion

Android cloud backup is disabled for this app. Keep your own JSON backups to move or recover projects. You can delete individual projects in the app. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes its local data. Exports you placed elsewhere are separate copies; delete those through their storage provider if needed. If a saved library becomes unreadable, the app may keep a local recovery copy that can be exported from Help. Temporary export files older than 48 hours are cleaned up on a later app launch.

Support email

If you contact support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate the issue. Your email provider and our email provider process that correspondence. Ask us by email if you want your support correspondence deleted, subject to any retention required by applicable law.

Google Play and this website

Google Play handles purchases, distribution and its own diagnostics under Google's policies. The app contains no payment or advertising SDK. This static support page is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which processes requests to serve the website; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. This page sets no application cookies, loads no external fonts or analytics, and has no tracking scripts.

Children and policy updates

CoatTally is a home-improvement utility intended for adults, and does not knowingly collect information from children. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date.

Useful before you paint

• Use coverage per coat from your exact product's label. Surface condition and application method affect real consumption.
• Keep colours, products and finishes as separate paint references. Add primer separately.
• Room mode measures four walls. Add the ceiling as another surface.
• Shopping totals describe the full project. Checking completed coats does not reduce that original plan.
• Export JSON backups regularly. PDF and CSV are readable reports; JSON is the restorable backup.
